with ps5 we revisited
the notion of blur. this time, however, we were allowed to consider solutions
that addressed issues of form in addition to lexical solutions.
i used the emigre font "oblique" as a template for creating a vector font that i am able to manipulate.
i express blur in terms of "wiggle". as the letters/words become more blurred the wiggle and therefore impression of blur increases.
for the lexical portion of the blur, i substitute phonemes that sound similar to the original character according to the frequency with which that character appears in the english corpus.
