Part 1 The problem: 1. Figure 3-7 has a kite. Make a kite that you can fly with your mouse. Limit your solution to monochrome (no grays). Be sure that the interface for flying the kite is self-evident.

My solution and sources.

Part 2

The problem: Figures 3-10 demonstrate expressive calligraphic strokes. Use the mouse to model a calligraphic pen (with whatever innovations you can imagine). Limit your solution to monochrome (grays are allowed). If you get too non-deterministic, all of the final solutions will look the same perhaps so be careful.

My solution and sources.

Part 3

The problem: Figure 3.14a to 3.14i are examples of some statically drawn lines that have special character. Make 3 examples of expressive dynamic strokes with specific characters using the following interface scenario:

  1. The canvas will accept a freehand stroke that is input with the mouse.
  2. The dynamic behavior commences after the stroke is input.
  3. The behavior continues until another stroke is entered.

Label all 3 strokes with some short title, such as "Bubbly", etc. Again try to keep your solution deterministic otherwise everything will look hairy, fiery, etc.

My solution and sources.
