Legerdemouse, prestidigitization...

The theme of this problem set is "magic", sleight of hand (mouse), designing surprise. Please develop achromatic/non-gradated (i.e. no color, no grays) answers to the following two questions. Be sure to include a button that leads to the code for each answer page as some students already do.

Part 1

Given 5 objects on the screen, design an interactive process whereby you introduce another object (i.e. bringing it to a total of 6 objects) in such a fluid manner that the user barely notices it's appearance. These objects can be any basic shape (circle, triangle, square) and any combination. My solution and sources.

Part 2

Given 3 objects on the screen, again design an interactive process whereby remove one of the objects (i.e. bringing it to a total of 2 objects) in such a fluid manner that the user barely notices it's disappearance. These objects can be any basic shape (circle, triangle, square) and any combination. My solution and sources.
