Problem Set #8
The topic of this problem set is COLOR! Yes I know it is hard to believe but it is finally time to spread our wings a bit. Please refer to the chapter on color in your textbook for background and ideas. We make this problem set a little more interesting by adding Newtonian physics. Some people in the class have already started integrating these type of elements. You can refer to any 8.01 text for the basic ideas; Reed has written a nice Particle object which you can build upon or write from scratch your own way.
1) Render a rectangular-shaped spectral pattern (i.e. rainbow strips) that responds to the mouse in a flowing, physical manner.
2) Connect two points in motion with meaningful use of color to accentuate the difference in distance/speed between the two particles.
