back   1. make a 3D model of an apparatus driven by fluid flow & print it on the FDM machine
  2. model a metal part that interacts with this apparatus & machine it on the nc lathe

here is my printed apparatus.
someone in class broke the other fin off while it was sonicating. so sad.
at least they apologized.

if you want to see pictures of me in the shop while printing this, click here.
they are silly.

here is the rendering of my apparatus.
it's a sculpture that spins in the wind.

this is the top that i wanted to machine on the lathe, when i still thought my apparatus would be 8 inches tall. but that would have taken years to print, so now my apparatus is only three inches tall. and the top i had in mind would be too tiny. maybe some day i'll build a stand for it instead. i dunno.
