Problem Set One, Problem 1.

1. One em is a horizaontal measure equal to the type size. For example, 6 point type is 6 em wide.
2. One point is 1/12 pica, or aproximately 1/72 inch.
3. One pica is aproximately 1/6th inch.
4. One pixel is one picture element on a raster display.
