the middle section ties the others together. it plots all of the
appointments as points in a six-dimensional space, and connects them
across the dimensions, to elicit a form that is suggestive of "how
tangled" a schedule might be. the handheld is used to switch between
subframes of the large screen, and control them. with these combined
perspectives, compositions can be seen from many different angles
simultaneously, in a layered, composed space. both macroscopic and
microscopic can be seen simultaneously, a type of dynamic cubism.
in the movie here, a visitor is moving the handheld between the
sensing rings, rotating the shape in space.
