i.o board

The Nylon input/output board is a hardware protoyping component designed specifically for the Nylon system that mediates between all attached hardware devices. It is driven by a basicX microprocessor, and can be programmed directly from your computer's serial port, using the Nylon software.

The complete board is approximately 4 inches x 3 inches by 1 inch, and is run off a 9 volt battery or AC adapter. It provides easy access to the analog/digital inputs and outputs. An attached breadboard for prototyping and developing circuitry fills one of the larger faces of the board. The other face is a white plate with the word 'NYLON' embedded in red acrylic. The Nylon heartbeat flashes through the letters, indicating when your board is powered and functioning properly.
