i was watching south park. :) the original episode for this show was made with paper cutouts of the characters on painted backgrounds. once the show came to tvland, large amounts of software was written to recreate that 'paper cutout' look.

i wanted an applet that recreated that paper cutout feeling. i also wanted to be able to shift 'gels' in and out. however, java doesnt implement the alpha channel correctly.
