For this part I
wanted to make a still image feel more fluid by adding some more less natural
looking motion. I noticed that most of the pictures in the first
part ended up having an ellipse in one form or another (why is it not surprising
:-)?). So, I wanted to mix in a few oscillators to induce dynamic
deformations on the image. The degree of quantization is very much
arbitrary and java handles the performance just fine, but I find larger
blocks more appealing.
To make it work
try loading Hands.jpg, Fruit.jpg, Tools.jpg or whatever else you want. Drag a mouse
across to add local ripples. Drag and release to add global motion.
