3. Definition Of New Language

In this section we define the basic structure of the new system model language. In its current state, the language has twomain grammar types: actors and actions. By nature of being interactive, the computer both listens and speaks, i.e. there is an "input" and an "output." An actor may either be a human or a computer input or output. The computer input or output actor may be one of the following: "computer visual in", "computer audio in", "computer visual out", "computer audio out", or "human interface." There is one single action called "communication." According to this language, an interface may be defined by a visual combination of actors and actions. This language will evolve through the analysis and creation of additional performance systems.
