The Rescue Ascending Device (RAD) was
developed during the spring 1997
MIT Design Projects course.
I was part of a team of 20 senior mechanical
engineering students who researched
the applications of portable,
motorized devices in the firefighting
and rescue markets.
We developed a concept, iterated over
several mock-up designs, then implemented
a prototype, all over the course
of two months.
