Our constraints were to design a house based on a fixed grid of nine eight-foot squares. Inspired by the radical vertical circulations of Rem Koolhaas's Villa Dall'Ava and the circular hidden entry of Tadao Ando's Kidosaki House, my design broke the grid with multiple twisting circulations up and down the inside and outside of the house.
