The most important lesson I ever learned about computer science is that it isn't a science and it isn't about computers. Computer science is idealized engineering in a formalized language for the study of process. Freed by the computer from all physical constraints, we build machines of incredible complexity. The beauty of an elegant algorithm is the beauty of an architecture that arises as a natural consequence of its function and setting.
